A classic space MMO, rebuilt from the ground up and hosted for our group. Your progress is saved on the server.

From Phoenix to Goliath: lasers, generators, rockets, Hellstorm launchers, drones with formations and a hangar with two configurations.
Galaxy Gates
Collect the parts for Alpha, Beta and Gamma, jump in with your lives and survive wave after wave for the big rewards.

Team up in groups, found a clan, talk in the global and company chat rooms, and climb the ranks for titles.
Your P.E.T.
A companion bot that follows you, guards you, earns experience and gets its own gear, fuel and protocols.

How to play
Ready for launch in three steps

Download the launcher
One small file,
AncientOrbitLauncher.exe. Put it wherever you like, for example on your desktop. -

Start the launcher
Double-click it. It downloads the game once and keeps it and itself up to date from then on.

Create your pilot
In the launcher choose Create pilot: a name, a password and your company. Then press Play and you are on the map.
Members of our Discord only. After creating your pilot, press Connect Discord in the launcher and confirm on Discord. The game downloads once your pilot is linked with a Discord account that is on our server. Join our Discord
Windows SmartScreen? The launcher is not code-signed, so Windows may show “Windows protected your PC” on the first start. Click More info and then Run anyway.

Questions
Does it cost anything?
No. Ancient Orbit is a private, non-commercial server for our group of friends. There is nothing to buy.
I forgot my password.
Ask the server admin. Pilots are registered without an email address, so there is no automatic password reset.
How do I update the game?
Just start the launcher. It checks every file and only downloads what has changed. Check files repairs a broken install.
Is my connection secure?
Yes. Login, game and chat run over encrypted TLS connections, and passwords are stored only as salted hashes.
